Brief History Greece
Older written records report that already in 1947, members of the New Apostolic Church in Athens had a meeting room, which was unfortunately destroyed by the post-war conditions. Further information from this period are unfortunately unknown.
After 1958 Apostolic Christians came from Germany to Athens and there further told of their faith, a congregation could be re-established. After various meeting places have been used the first own church in Athens Maroussi was ordained in 1980. It is used until today.
From Athens contacts have been established to northern Greece. From 1980 once a month worship in Thessaloniki has been held. 2008 at Stavroupolis district an own church premises was ordained. From there, stations are supervised in Xanthi and Alexandroupolis.
Since 1990 a congre is existing on Crete as well. The church is located in Heraklion. During the summer months in addition devine services are held in Rethymnon.
All the congregations are international. Peaceful Christians from Greece, anything else Europe, Asia and Africa prepare themselves to the return of Christ.
